Our Daniel was born on the 22nd September 1982, Beloved son of Lynn and Gary, much loved brother of
Dean and treasured Grandson Nephew and Cousin.
His life tragically ended on Wednesday 25th July 2001 when Daniel was shot and killed in Miles
Platting.
Daniel is desperately missed by all his family and friends.
Never more than a thought away, loved and remembered every day.

Birthday in Heaven
I heard you crying yesterday
And felt your heart-sent love
So I’m sending you this message
Now, from Heaven up above.
You’re wondering if I’ll celebrate
My birthday (way up here)
I know you’re missing me today
I feel your essence near.
God planned a special day for me
He told me with a wink
He’d ordered me a special cake
(It’s Angel food, I think)
Balloons will fill the streets for me
They float up through the clouds
And we have lots of friends up here
That make us laugh out loud
There is a birthday carousel
Jeweled horses ride the wind
With music playing oh so sweet…
The magic never ends
I’ve made so many friends, you see
We laugh and play and sing
We ride our bikes and play the fool
And sleep in Angel’s wings
!
But we don’t blow out our candles here
Instead, they light the skies

Sleepless nights
Another of my sleepless nights
Should I turn on every light?
The silence deafens in my ears
Darkness makes this more severe
No noise to help me occupy...
So again I just ask why?
Sitting in this darkened room
Grief once more starts to consume
I close my eyes as if to sleep
Tears well up as I do weep
Endless hours slowly pass...
Till the morning comes at last
Through the day I can deny
Keep my tears buried inside
Somehow make it through again
Refuse grief's never ending pain
As the day turns to the night
Shadows form as we lose light
Another sleepless night draws near...
As it has for many years
A BROKEN HEART THAT SPEAKS
I feel more depressed
Each day when I awake
I wish to god you could tell me
There has been a big mistake.
My darling son was taken
From his mothers love
To live with the angels
In heaven up above
I did not have him with me
For the time I should have had
No longer can I hold him
Which makes me very sad?
The pain of losing my son
Shows in every single tear
I spend each day missing you
Longing to have you near
Life for me is lonely now
Without you by my side
My Broken shattered heart
Is very hard to hide
People tell me that time is a healer
That the pain will go away
They don’t understand
That this pain is here to stay
For when you lose a child
There is nothing that can compare
The bond we had at their birth
Will never leave, it’s always there
The love a mother has
Runs so very deep
That love is so special
It’s in her heart to keep
A mother’s heart is broken
She is ripped apart inside
There is a part of her missing
It left when her child died
So please don’t tell me to get over it
For this I can not do
Unless you understand my feelings
And this has happened to you
Only another mother who has lost a child
Can understand my pain
Because they also suffer daily
As the memories of their child remain
We are a band of mothers
Whose hearts will never heal?
For the loss of our children
Is for us, so very real
